Hi there Natasha! So lovely to have you over at The Fade In! How are you doing? How is 2023 treating you so far?

Hello, thank you so much. I’m doing great, 2023 has been interesting so far. It’s been great but challenging already, but I’m excited to see what the year has planned out for me.

You recently released your phenomenal new track ‘Triggered’. Huge congratulations on that! Kindly walk us through the creative process of the track? How did the idea of the song initially emerge in your mind?

Thank you so much. I wrote this song back in 2021 that initially wasn’t the Triggered that we know of now. I wrote a demo originally called “All To You” which was still based on a theme of betrayal as I was personally going through some situations at the time so it was natural for me to write about my feelings. I sent that demo to my producer and co-writer prior to our session and we basically pulled that demo apart still working with the theme and message of my demo, but kept experimenting and recording ideas until we secured the final product of Triggered now.

Did you face any sort of challenge during the production stage of the project?

The main challenge I faced back in 2021 was dodging covid restrictions and border closers. I flew to Sydney to work with my producer and co-writer on this song, so I was lucky I didn’t get stuck interstate. We recently filmed the music video late in 2022 and that was probably the biggest challenge for me as it was a manic project to plan and achieve as an independent artist.

Now that “Triggered” is already out, how has the reception been like on the project?

The response has been really awesome so far. A lot of people have stated its their favourite single of mine yet. I’ve also had a great response over the music video based on the theme of domestic abuse and have found a really powerful message in the video.

What’s the one thing that you think your fans should definitely know about you as a person which they might not get to know about you by listening solely to your music?

Family and culture are important to me. I come from an Italian background so I’m always surrounded by my big family and Nonnas cooking is always a favourite, especially her lasagna.

What’s next for you, Natasha? Have you set yourself any goals for the year 2023? Any upcoming projects of yours that you’d like to tell your fans about?

Yes! I’m currently working on my biggest project yet which is my debut album which will be out hopefully later this year. I’m really excited to share the new material with the world.

Lastly, is there any message that you would like to convey to your fans reading this interview right now?

To always trust yourself, your ideas, and stick to your vision. Not everyone will understand or agree with you and that’s fine. Do what feeds your soul and makes you happy. You’re not here to please anyone but yourself.
